How to choose a biography?
- Choose a character that catches your attention
- It doesn’t matter if you don’t know him or her: you will discover new things!
- Try exploring characters from different subjects: science, art, history, sports…
What does each biography include?
- Each character has a module with 10 lessons.
- Each lesson is related to the character, to their impact on the world or to ideas that came up because of what they did.
- You can access the lessons from the right sidebar on the “My Lessons” page .
- To stay organized, you can save each lesson with the bookmark at the top of the content.
How is a lesson composed?
- It starts with an inspiring story
- Then you will watch a video to go deeper
- Next comes:
- Questions to think about (Your mind in action)
- Ideas for further research (Do you want to know more?)
- Creative activities (Show what you know)
- You can do the activities by writing, drawing, recording or creating something manual
How to progress at your own pace?
- You can do one lesson a day or more if you are enthusiastic
- In your profile, create your own categories to save and organize your lessons. We suggest you:
- Learning Now
- I have learned or Completed
- I will learn
- Favorites
What if I don’t understand something or an activity is hard for me?
- Ask an adult for help, do some research or explain it in your own words
- Try to do it your own way, there is no one right way
- The important thing is to think, reflect and express yourself
When do I mark a lesson as “I have learned” or “Completed”?
- When you feel that you understood the story or the topic
- If you reflected on what you learned
- And you completed at least one activity with intention
A final tip:
- Don’t just follow the strict lesson plan
- If a topic catches your attention, explore it more on your own!
- This will make your learning experience fun and enriching
π You’re ready to get started! Explore the characters, choose one, start with the first lesson, and learn at your own pace. Orange Learning is designed for you to enjoy learning and discover what you’re really passionate about.

What will you find in each lesson?
Each Orange Learning lesson follows a structure designed to motivate and guide learning:
- A brief introduction with an inspirational story
- Content divided by topic, with subtitles and visual sections
- A video to deepen or broaden the topic
- Reflection questions in “Your mind in action”
- A section that invites you to investigate further: “Do you want to know more?”
- Varied and creative activities in “Show what you know.”
What skills does your child develop?
The activities are designed to encourage:
- Critical reading
- Curiosity
- Creative thinking
- Oral and written expression
- Personal and autonomous organization
- Connection between what is learned and the real world
How to follow up without pressure?
- Explore available characters together
- Let your child decide who he/she wants to meet
- Discuss at the end of a lesson: What stood out to you? What did you learn?
- Create custom categories with your child to save lessons on the My Lessons page
- You can use categories such as: Learning Now, I Have Learned, I Will Learn, Favorites
- Use these categories as a progress guide
How to assess learning?
You can observe and assess:
- The understanding of the biography and the topic worked on
- The quality of the reflection in the questions
- Autonomy in the search for more knowledge
- The depth, effort and creativity in the activities performed
How to grade if necessary?
- You can use simple qualitative criteria: Did he/she understand the topic?, did he/she participate with intention?, did he/she reflect and express him/herself?
- You can also use the lesson evaluation and self-evaluation guide available in your account (if you have a subscription).
And how to certify learning?
- One effective way is to use an umbrella school and create a portfolio of evidence using the activities completed in the modules.
- You can learn more about homeschool validation here.
- You can also schedule, for an additional cost, a personalized counseling in Spanish if you wish to be accompanied in this process.
What to do to maintain progress and motivation?
- Allow flexibility in the type of activities: some are reflective, others are creative or manual.
- Although each person learns at his or her own pace, you can set short-term goals (such as finishing a module in one week).
- Use a calendar or planner to move forward week by week, without pressure.
- Ask your student frequent questions about what he or she is learning or discuss together how to apply it in real life.
- Depending on your student’s age, join him or her from time to time to read a lesson and do an activity.
- If he loses interest, try a different character or topic that arouses more curiosity.
- Take breaks when they need them and pick up when they are ready.
- Celebrate small accomplishments: advance a lesson, complete an activity, share a reflection… it all adds up! it all adds up!
